17th Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671: 2008(2011) (QCF)
The 17th Edition Wiring Regulations course is necessary for all candidates new to the electrical industry, practicing electricians, electrical engineers and domestic electrical installers wishing to operate in the Eletrotechnincal Industry. It is an essential course aimed at giving the candidate a thorough understanding of the fully up to date requirements of 17th Edition Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2008 (2011). Candidates can choose to study this short electrical training course either over 3 consecutive days or alternatively attend one of our regular evening classes or weekend option (Call for details) held regularly at centres in the South East England.

Initial and Periodic Inspection & Testing Combined Course (QCF)
Due to the recent changes by City & Guilds with their Inspection and Testing qualifications, Holistic Training Solutions are now able to offer you two brand new QCF qualifications at Level 3. This is a direct replacement for the old City & Guilds 2391 qualification. This 6 day intense course not only covers the initial Inspection, Testing and Condition Reporting of all electrical systems but also includes the undertaking of periodic Inspections including 3 phase and industrial systems.

The In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) Course
This 2 day electrical course has been designed for candidates wishing to carry out inspection and testing of electrical equipment. This course is open to any persons with little or no electrical knowledge or experience and is delivered with this in mind. As there is a legal requirement to periodically inspect electrical appliances in the work place it is ideal for people who have to manage and certify electrical equipment. This course will give you the knowledge and hands on experience in how to correctly perform PAT testing using the latest equipment. Essential Domestic Electrics & Fault Finding for Beginners
This 5 day course has been specifically designed to assist people in preparing to become domestic installers. By completing this course the candidate will gain the theory and practical skills required to progress onto the Part P domestic installer’s course. If you are new to the electrical trade or are considering a change in career this course is ideal for you. On completion of the course you will have an understanding of electrical theories, electrician’s tools, identifying components and domestic wiring circuits. You will gain hands on experience working in a small class size and will have the opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of domestic wiring.

Domestic Electrical Installer
The new Domestic Electrical Installer course, which replaces the Part P Electrics course is now available as a 5 day course. Much more “hands on” than the 17th Edition Wiring regulations course, this is recommended for those who carry out electrical work as part of their normal role, but have not had much in the way of formal training. Also may be useful to those who have an upcoming inspection from a Competent Persons Scheme, and would like some refresher training on how to carry out electrical testing.

Solar Photovoltaic Installer and Maintenance (QCF)
This 5 day accredited course covers the design, installation and maintenance of Solar Photovoltaic Systems. It also covers site surveys, array and inverter sizing. The course can be taken by those designing or managing the installations, who will be awarded the Designer Certification on successful completion, or the Installer Certification which is for those actually doing the installations. The Installer Certification can only be issued to those who also hold a suitable electrical qualification This course is recognised as proof of competence by the Microgeneration Certification Schemes.

Solar Thermal Hot Water Systems for Installers and Maintenance Engineers (QCF)
This nationally recognized course provides the learner with the skills & knowledge needed to install and maintain Solar Thermal Systems. It includes:
